1.1 Activity: AI Model Interaction Comparison
This activity is entirely optional, and very basic if you have experience working with public LLM platforms already. However, if you haven’t used public LLM platforms yet, this is a great way to get started and get a sense of the capabilities of this technology.
- Use an AI platform (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Gemini) to write an article or blog post on a topic of your choice.
- Use live chat functions to ask follow-up questions to the AI.
- Use the same platform to draw an image that could be used as a supporting artwork for your report.
- Go to Napkin.ai and draw an image that could be used as a supporting graphical resource for your report.
- Go to NotebookLM and have it create an audio podcast based on your report.
With the results, do a careful analysis and try to identify instances of potential hallucinations or inconsistencies.
Suggestions
- Documenting how to use these tools is beyond the scope of this book, but there are many resources online already detailing how to use the. Have a quick look through Youtube if you need some guidance.
- If you cannot think of a good subject for an article, try to write about the history of AI, or perhaps Alan Turing’s life.
